**Typical savings:** most small teams don't need a mid-tier CRM seat. Dropping from HubSpot Sales Hub Professional ($100 per seat/month, plus a required $1,500 one-time onboarding fee) to Starter ($20 per seat/month) saves $80 per seat/month. On Pipedrive, dropping from Growth ($39 per seat/month billed annually) to Lite ($14) saves $25 per seat/month. For one or two people tracking contacts and deals, HubSpot's free CRM (up to two users) costs $0.

## How the plans line up

| | HubSpot Sales Hub | Pipedrive (billed annually) |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Free CRM, up to two users | none listed |
| Entry | Starter, from $20/seat | Lite, $14/seat ($168/year) |
| Mid | Professional, from $100/seat + $1,500 onboarding | Growth, $39/seat ($468/year) |
| Higher | Enterprise, from $150/seat + $3,500 onboarding | Premium $59, Ultimate $79/seat |

HubSpot's pages show "starts at" prices and don't state the billing term. Starter currently shows a limited-time discount for new customers. Pipedrive says monthly billing costs more. ## What you get at each step

Pipedrive Growth adds email automation, sequences, full email sync with tracking, and forecasting. HubSpot Professional adds sequences, forecasting and more custom reports. If you don't use those features, the entry tier, or the [Google Sheets CRM workflow](/workflows/small-business-crm-in-google-sheets) at $0 extra, may be enough.

## When to pay for the mid tier

Pay for it if reps run email sequences every day, you report forecasts to investors or a board, or several reps need tracked email sync.
