# Draft routine marketing copy with an assistant you already have

> Move a small, reviewable copywriting task from Jasper to an existing assistant using an explicit brand brief and approved facts. Keep Jasper when its shared marketing context and workflows are the reason you pay.

- Outcome: Produce reviewed copy with a traceable brief and no invented product claims.
- Replaces: Jasper (task_specific)
- Uses: Claude — Draft and revise copy using approved facts and an explicit reusable brand brief.
- Extra monthly cost: $0 — Conditional on already having the required accounts, eligible features and sufficient capacity; no upgrade is assumed. If the test requires added storage, seats or a plan change, enter that incremental cost before treating this as a saving.
- Difficulty: moderate; skill: basic; setup: Allow one focused pilot session, then a normal work cycle to test the result; this is an editorial planning estimate.
- Evidence: editorial; illustrative example: false; last reviewed 2026-10-16

## Good fit for
- A solo marketer or small team producing a few familiar formats
- People able to supply a clear brief and review every factual claim

## Not a fit for
- Teams relying on shared Jasper brand voices, campaign assets or connected marketing workflows
- High-volume production whose review and coordination costs outweigh the subscription
- Regulated or sensitive copy without an approved review process

## Before
Create copy inside Jasper using its configured marketing context.

## After
Keep an approved brief and run a deliberate draft, fact-check and revision process in the assistant you retain.

## Steps

### 1. Choose one recurring format

Select a real task such as a product announcement or a short newsletter introduction. Record the audience, channel, length, reviewer and acceptance criteria. List Jasper features used beyond generating text.

### 2. Make an approved brief

Write the tone, terminology, prohibited claims and required disclosures in a document you control. Include approved examples you are allowed to reuse. Do not assume a different assistant has access to Jasper’s stored brand context.

### 3. Provide evidence with the request

Supply the facts for this specific task and label their sources. Give the assistant only material approved for that service. Use the prompt below; require missing facts to remain questions rather than being filled in.

### 4. Check before polishing

Compare names, dates, offers, links and product promises with the source packet. Remove unsupported claims. Review tone and originality separately; fluent prose is not evidence that a claim is correct.

### 5. Revise with one accountable owner

Ask for targeted edits, then have the responsible reviewer approve the final version. Save the brief, accepted copy and reasons for revisions so the next task starts from an explicit record.

### 6. Measure a normal batch

Try the workflow across the formats you actually publish. Count preparation and review time, not just generation time. Keep Jasper if rebuilding its shared context or coordination is a worse tradeoff.

## Prompts

### Draft against an explicit brief
Keep facts and voice constraints visible.

```text
Draft {{format}} for {{audience}}. Brand brief: {{brand_brief}}. Approved facts and sources: {{facts}}. Goal and length: {{requirements}}. Use only these facts; leave missing details as questions. Do not invent testimonials, performance claims, discounts or customer names. Return the draft and a separate list linking each factual claim to the supplied source.
```

## Limitations
- A pasted brief requires manual maintenance and does not recreate Jasper’s shared marketing workspace.
- The assistant may still invent or distort claims despite explicit instructions.
- Publication, campaign measurement and channel scheduling are outside this workflow.
- The retained assistant must have sufficient usage capacity and appropriate data handling for the material.

## Verification checklist (run before cancelling)
- [ ] Every factual claim is supported by the approved source packet.
- [ ] The copy follows the actual brand terminology and required disclosures.
- [ ] A responsible human has approved the final draft before publication.
- [ ] Another team member can reproduce the process from the saved brief.
- [ ] Measured preparation, revision and coordination effort is acceptable for a normal batch.

## Savings methodology
Monthly saving = the bill you can actually stop paying, minus replacement upgrades, storage and seats, minus any retained subscription cost. Use your invoice and current vendor pricing pages; count a cancelled subscription once. Track migration and ongoing manual work separately. Cancellation is justified only when every paid use you need has passed the pilot.
