Canva Pro vs Adobe Express: do you need both, and which costs less?

For people paying for Canva Pro and Adobe Express Premium, or choosing one: how the individual and team plans compare on price, and when a free tier is enough.

Typical savings: Canva Pro is $12/month billed yearly ($144/year) or $18/month billed monthly. Adobe Express Premium is $9.99/month, billed monthly with no annual commitment. If you pay for both and one covers your work, dropping Canva Pro saves $12/month, or dropping Express Premium saves $9.99/month. On team plans, Canva Business is $20.83 per person/month billed yearly. Adobe Express for Teams is $7.99 per licence/month (annual plan, minimum 2 seats), so a team that switches saves $12.84 per seat/month.

Test before you cancel

Both paid plans include premium templates, brand kits, one-click resize and background removal. Rebuild two or three of your usual designs in the tool you plan to keep, and check your brand kit, fonts and templates carry over. For simple social graphics, the Canva Free plus AI workflow may mean you need neither paid plan.

When keeping both makes sense

Keep both if clients or teammates share work with you in each one. Keep Express too if you rely on other Adobe apps and assets it connects to. For light use, keep one paid plan and the other's free tier.
