Replacing Webflow for a small business site: downgrade, or rebuild with AI coding tools?

When a Webflow plan is more than a small marketing site needs, when a site plan downgrade is enough, and when an AI-built static site on free hosting can replace it.

Webflow's pricing spans very different buyers. A Basic site plan is US$15/month billed yearly, while the Team platform plan is US$2,500/month on an annual contract. A small business brochure site rarely needs the top of that range. In order of risk, there are three ways to spend less.

Option 1: Check you're on the right Webflow plan

  • Site plan vs platform plan. If you're on the Team plan ($2,500/month, annual contract) for one or two marketing sites, compare it with per-site plans: Basic ($15/month), Premium (from $25/month) or Ecommerce Standard ($29/month), all billed yearly. Our Webflow page lists what each plan includes, with verification dates.
  • Seats. Extra Full seats are $39/month and Limited seats $15/month (billed yearly). Remove anyone who no longer edits the site.
  • Contract timing. Annual plans lock you in, so note your renewal date before you change anything.

Option 2: Rebuild a simple site with an AI coding tool and free hosting

If the site is a handful of pages that rarely change, an AI coding tool you already pay for can generate it as static files, and Cloudflare's Free plan can host it. The AI-coded business website workflow walks through the brief, the build, hosting, forms and redirects. It adds $0/month if you already have the AI tool. If your domain came bundled with the builder, you'll pay a registrar for it after the move.

On the repo's published prices, replacing the Team plan this way saves up to $2,500/month. Replacing a Basic site plan saves $15/month.

When to keep paying

Keep Webflow if marketers publish pages or blog posts every week and need a visual editor, if you run CMS collections that non-developers update, or if the site depends on Webflow interactions, ecommerce or memberships. A rebuild has no visual editor, no built-in CMS and no built-in forms or ecommerce. In those cases Option 1 is the better saving.
