LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Sales Navigator adds advanced search filters, saved leads and accounts, alerts on job changes and company news, and InMail messages to LinkedIn. Advanced adds team features and real-time CRM sync with Salesforce, HubSpot and others. Advanced Plus is quote-based for larger teams. It does not give you email addresses or phone numbers; contact happens through LinkedIn or through data from other tools.

Fit and scores (1–5) are editorial judgements. How we score
Why people pay for it
- The most up-to-date view of who works where, because people update their own LinkedIn profiles.
- Advanced search filters for title, seniority, company size and recent job change.
- Alerts on job changes and account news.
- InMail to reach people outside your network.
- CRM sync on Advanced to keep account and contact records current.
Reasons to keep paying
The honest case for LinkedIn Sales Navigator. If these matter to you, don't switch.
- First-party LinkedIn profile data that people maintain themselves; no other source is as current for role changes.
- A compliant way to search and message on LinkedIn; scraping LinkedIn instead violates its User Agreement and risks account bans.
- Warm-path features such as shared connections (TeamLink) that rely on LinkedIn's network graph.
Risks to know about
- highcompliance
LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits scraping, bots and browser plugins that extract or automate activity; tools that do this can get accounts restricted. Any data you copy out is still personal data under GDPR.
- mediumdata portability
Your lists and notes live on LinkedIn and do not export in a reusable form.
- mediumvendor lock in
There is no substitute for LinkedIn's own profile data and network graph.
- data portability: hard
Saved leads and accounts cannot be bulk-exported with contact details. CRM sync on Advanced pushes some activity and links into your CRM. Scraping or automated extraction is prohibited by LinkedIn's User Agreement (section 8.2).
