HubSpot Sales Hub
Sales Hub sits on HubSpot's Smart CRM. The free tools cover contacts, deals, tasks, email integration and meeting scheduling for a small team. Starter adds more pipelines and limits. Professional and Enterprise need a paid Sales Seat per salesperson and add sequences, forecasting, custom reports and more automation. Professional and Enterprise also carry a required one-time onboarding fee. Other staff can use cheaper Core Seats or free View-Only Seats.

Plans & pricing
Seat types matter: Sales Seats unlock full Sales Hub Professional/Enterprise features; Core Seats give access at the subscription level for other staff; View-Only Seats are free. AI features consume HubSpot credits; extra credits are listed at $0.010 each pay-as-you-go or $10 per 1,000-credit pack. Prices are 'starts at' figures; the first-year cost of Professional or Enterprise includes the onboarding fee.

Why people pay for it
- An easy CRM that sales and marketing can share without much admin work.
- Email sequences, meeting links and tracking built into the CRM on Professional and up.
- Forecasting and custom reports for sales managers.
- Tight connection to HubSpot Marketing Hub and Service Hub data.
- A large app marketplace and many agencies that know HubSpot.
Reasons to keep paying
The honest case for HubSpot Sales Hub. If these matter to you, don't switch.
- One shared contact timeline across marketing, sales and service if the company also uses other HubSpot hubs.
- Ease of use: reps adopt it with little training, which many cheaper or more powerful CRMs cannot claim.
- Built-in sequences, meeting scheduling and email tracking that would otherwise need two or three separate tools.
Risks to know about
- mediumvendor lock in
Companies using several HubSpot hubs depend on the shared timeline and cross-hub automation.
- mediummigration complexity
Sequences, workflows and reports must be rebuilt by hand when switching.
- mediumcompliance
Sequences send outbound sales email; senders must follow CAN-SPAM, GDPR/PECR and similar rules, including opt-outs.
- lowfunctionality loss
Teams that only use contacts and a simple pipeline can often move to a cheaper CRM with little loss.
- data portability: moderate
Contacts, companies, deals and activities export to CSV, and there is a full API. Workflows, sequences, reports and email templates do not move cleanly to other CRMs.
